Captions and languages
How accurate is the transcription?+
Very good on clear speech; still solid with music or street noise. Hindi, Hinglish, English, Urdu and Telugu are strong. For Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam and Punjabi accuracy depends on the engine configured; the editor exists to fix the few words it gets wrong.
What is Hinglish mode?+
Spoken Hindi transcribed, then written in Roman letters the way creators type it: “yeh feature try karo, it actually works”. English words stay English. Pick “Hinglish” as the caption language on the setup screen.
Which languages are supported?+
80 for transcription and translation, including Hindi, Hinglish, Urdu, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Nepali, Sinhala, Arabic and most European and Asian languages. Each Indian script and Arabic gets proper fonts in the preview and the export.
Can I translate the captions?+
Yes, on Creator and Studio plans. Timing is kept so the highlight stays in sync. Right-to-left languages render correctly.
Does it detect the language automatically?+
Yes, from the first 30 seconds, and it tells you how confident it is. You can overrule it before transcription starts, or re-transcribe later from the Export panel.
Styles and editing
How many caption styles are there?+
267: 85 English looks plus the most-used looks set in 13 languages and scripts. Every style is editable: font, size, colours, chip behind words, outline, shadow, background and motion.
Can I save my own style?+
Yes. Tune a look in the editor, press “Save as my style”, and it appears in every project (Creator and Studio plans).
Can I move the captions on the video?+
Drag the caption block anywhere on the preview, or use the Position tab for exact placement.
Can I fix a wrong word?+
Click the line in the transcript, type, press Enter. Split long lines, merge short ones, and nudge start and end times.
Plans and exports
Is the free plan really free?+
Yes. Ten minutes of video a month, every style, 720p export, no watermark, no card.
How do I upgrade?+
Dashboard → Membership. Choose a plan and duration, pay by UPI, bank transfer or the payment link shown, submit the transaction reference, and we activate the plan, usually within a few hours.
What export formats do I get?+
MP4 with captions burned in (source, 1080p or 720p depending on plan), plus SRT, VTT and plain text.
Is there a watermark?+
No, on any plan.
Where do my videos go?+
They stay on the PutCaption server. Only the audio track is sent to the speech-to-text provider, and exports are rendered on our own machines. Delete a project and everything is removed.
